Position Description

This position is located in the Facilities Engineering division of the Fuel Department, NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Norfolk. FLC Norfolk Fuel Department’s mission is to receive, store and issue all bulk petroleum products required by U.S. Navy, other DoD services and authorized government organizations within the Navy Region Mid-Atlantic; to provide quality surveillance for stored bulk petroleum fuels; and to maintain the petroleum, oil and lubricants (POL) infrastructure. The FLC Norfolk Fuel Department is a diverse geographic region of 10 FLCN detachments/site locations, totaling 112 tanks with a combined capacity of 100 million gallons. This region stretches from North Carolina to Maine to the Mississippi River and encompasses all Navy fuel operations in the states of Virginia, Maryland, Connecticut and the District of Columbia.
