TEXTILE TECHNOLOGIST

You will serve as a TEXTILE TECHNOLOGIST in the Uniform and Certification Group of NAVY EXCHANGE SERVICE COMMAND.

You will be responsible for planning and independently conducting clothing and accessory design projects.
You will determine the funds and personnel resources required to accomplish projects.
You will oversee the work of assistants and coordinate the efforts of design, testing, and evaluation.
You will conduct end item product certifications and re-certifications of materials, clothing, and footwear in accordance with applicable policies.
You will conduct focus groups and other discussions with users, combat developers, program managers, and other personnel to understand performance requirements and critical design features.
You will present program status, accomplishments, barriers, risks, and solutions to higher level authorities.
You will identify areas for improvement and recommend new projects and materials as necessary.
