This position is located in the Warehouse Division, for NAVSUP Fleet logistics Center Jacksonville. The purpose of the position is to perform supply support work dealing primarily with receipt processing, material inspection/reporting, and management of the Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Program for Naval Air Station Key West. The department mission is to enable the warfighters to accomplish their mission across the full range of military operations. Enterprise wide collaboration requires effective communication, and the power of the team is enhanced through full and open sharing of real-time information across NAVSUP lines of effort. Our influence within and across the logistics network allows us to closely align with the warfighter and optimize available resources. Our relationships with Joint, federal agency, coalition, and commercial partners are also critical to how we deliver our products and services to our customers.
Position Duties/Responsibilities
Performs a wide range of complex supply and warehouse management duties involving the maintenance of property accounts and records, processing of inventory transactions, and resolution of discrepancies. Provides customer assistance, conducts in-depth database and document research, and processes receipt documentation through the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system in accordance with established procedures. Independently identifies, analyzes, and corrects transaction errors, including computer-generated rejections, and prepares reports detailing findings and corrective actions. Researches and resolves non-deliveries, losses, damages, and shipping discrepancies, coordinating with shippers and carriers as needed. Initiates and processes Supply Discrepancy Reports (SDR), Reports of Discrepancy (ROD), and Product Quality Deficiency Reports (PQDR).
Additionally, manages the Material Handling Equipment (MHE) program, maintaining accurate inventory, equipment history, and readiness data while monitoring maintenance, repairs, and servicing. Administers the station’s forklift training and licensing program for military and civilian personnel and oversees MHE assignment and utilization across supported activities. Provides guidance and recommendations to customers and leadership regarding equipment requirements, utilization, and reassignment. Ensures compliance with fuel credit card and training requirements, maintains required documentation, and supports overall warehouse operations as needed.
