Position Description

You will serve as a LEAD TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANT (SHIPMENT MANAGEMENT) in the Naval Supply System Command - NAVSUP of NAVSUP FLC YOKO REG. ***ACCESS TO MEDICAL AND DENTAL CARE IN JAPAN IS EXTREMELY LIMITED. Please see Additional Information section below.*** #LI-NASUPFLCY

Position Duties/Responsibilities

  • You will assist the supervisor in providing training to new employees following established procedures and practices.
  • You will arrange for the pickup and/or deliver of personal property shipments.
  • You will perform shipment related tasks incident to the shipment/storage of household goods, including but not limited to placing shipment in Storage in Transit (SIT) when required and providing required documents to Transportation Service Providers.
  • You will support the development, testing, implementation, and maintenance of continuous process improvement (CPI) initiatives and automated technology systems for the DoD Personal Property Program.
  • You will respond to all member/employee and TSP requests for information/assistance.
