Position Description

You will serve as a Contract Specialist in the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Centers (FLCs) Contracting Departments of NAVSUP FLC SD GF.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

  • You will conduct pre-award and post-award functions.
  • You will be responsible for all aspects of complex and high dollar value procurements from early stages of planning to award.
  • You will perform contract administration, monitoring contractor performance, resolve disputes with contractor, negotiate all contract modifications, settling claims, and termination of contracts.
  • You will perform pre-award functions for procurements involving complex contracts for supplies and services
  • You will administer complex contracts for procurements for supplies and services including performance of termination actions, until final delivery and payments are completed and the contract is closed
