Transportation Assistant (Counselor)

You will serve as a Transportation Assistant (Counselor) of NAVSUP FLC NORVA GF.

At the GS-05, you will perform developmental duties as assigned. At the Full Performance Level (GS-06), you will perform the following:
You will communicate with members/employees, their dependents or agents to elicit their shipment needs and services desired.
You will review orders and determine the extent of entitlements and eligibility for the shipment, drayage or temporary/non-temporary storage of household goods at government expense.
You will explain shipment and storage options, excess costs, special procedures for shipments under various types of orders, and approximate transit time.
You will review and finalize applications for Shipment and/or Storage of Personal Property.
You will process applications utilizing an automated processing system.
