SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Position Description

You will serve as a SUPERVISORY SUPPLY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the MATERIAL MANAGEMENT DEPARTMENT, WAREHOUSING DIVISION of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

You will administer all warehousing matters related to government property for ships undergoing construction, conversion, overhaul, repair, alteration, activation or inactivation.
You will ensure contractors in possession of government property comply with the provisions of the contract and of the job order relative to government.
You will identify and implement procedures by which the branch's workload will be accomplished.
You will serve as the Technical Point of Contact (TPOC) for all contracts and matters related to RRAM/CARP/Special Material Supply Branch (SMSB) Material Management for which NAVSUP FLCN is responsible for.
You will provide technical guidance to material specialists involved in the process of identifying, documenting and cataloging of all types of material/equipment and industrial supplies.
You will apply sound position management techniques by studying, analyzing and implementing changes in the organizational structure of the Branch based on changes in functions, work methods, procedures, manpower and workload.
