TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Position Description

You will serve as a Traffic Management Specialist in the Supply Management department of NAVSUP FLC SIG GF. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Offers of employment related to this vacancy announcement will not be executed until the position has an approved exemption.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will coordinate, influence, and manage the implementation of transportation policy.
• You will devise and implement policies and guidance to correct oversights, deficiencies and responses to emerging conditions.
• You will analyze, evaluate and develop recommendations for potential influence on broad agency policy objectives and program goals.
• You will create cycle budget reports to support program requirements and control life cycle management.
• You will utilize modes and methods of transportation, including military and commercial air, surface, and sea transport.
