Transportation Assistant (Freight) - GS-2102-06

Position Description

This position is located at the NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego (FLCSD), Supply
Management Department, Various Sites. The duties of this position encompass the technical work
required to obtain the most efficient freight and Small Package Express (SPE) transportation services
at the least cost. The incumbent is charged with identifying the mode(s) of transportation, necessary
special equipment and services required for shipments, securing carriers, and advising customers on
transportation issues.
