Position Description

Responsible for planning, conducting, and/or coordinating major programs of broad scope in the areas of uniforms, individual protective clothing ensembles, textiles, and related equipment.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

*Plans, directs, and executes major RDT&E technical programs in the areas of protective clothing and Navy uniforms.

*Acts as the Technical Warrant Holder for both Navy General Purpose Organizational Clothing (GPOC) and Navy Uniforms.

*Exercises technical and administrative supervision over a staff of six employees, including (1) GS-0062-13 Clothing Designer, (1) GS-1384-13 Textile Technologist, (1) GS-1384-12 Textile Technologist, (2) GS-0062-11 Clothing Designers, (1) GS-1384-07 Textile Technologist (career ladder, target GS-11).
