You will serve as a Motor Vehicle Operator in the Fuels Branch of NAVSUP FLT LOG CTR JACKSONVILLE OMNR. Position Duties/Responsibilities

  • You will remove, clean and inspect receipt and dispensing strainers, draining water from lines, tanks, filter separator vessels and dike/containment areas.
  • You will unload liquid fuel barges and commercial trucks upon arrival, open operating valves and special purpose offloading equipment.
  • You will sample fuel and utilizes a variety of laboratory equipment to analyze fuel quality and enters the resulting data into databases for aviation fuels which helps manage fuel issues and receipts and accountability.
  • You will operate special purpose refuel and defuel vehicles to refuel or defuel all types of conventional and jet aircraft.
  • You will operate and maintain specialized refueling and defueling aviation fuel tank trucks with a gross vehicle weight that exceeds 70,000 pounds.
