SUPERVISORY INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Position Description

You will serve as a Supervisory Inventory Management Specialist in the NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Norfolk Supply Management Department Mid-Atlantic, (SMDMA) of NAVSUP FLEET LOGISTICS CENTER NORFOLK.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

You will manage inventory of a wide range of prescribed consumable stock items and categories of retain assets involving items controlled by NAVSUP Weapons Systems Support.
You will analyze and investigate any transactions which appears erroneous and makes the necessary or required correction.
You will confirm delinquent status for each item, expedites and cancel dues, and upgrades priority to maintain stock material inventory.
You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.
You will review daily Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (NERP) transaction codes (T-Code) and reports from Information Management (Inform-21) to assure previous submissions are reflected, such as buys or changes and to analyze indicative data.
You will validate or cancel requisitions, initiate follow-up actin to the appropriate DLA or WSS to ensure that all outstanding orders are received in a timely manner.
