Position Description

This position is located with Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) and may be located at any NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC). The FLC’s are responsible for the day-to-day management of the Navy’s Consolidated Hazardous Material Reutilization and Inventory Management Program (CHRIMP) and execution of the Navy’s Hazardous Material Control & Management (HMC&M) Program. The management of the Hazardous Material (HM) inventory requires a structured and persistent inventory cycle, process controls, regulation compliance and internal compliance audits. These processes are accomplished through the FLC organizational structure consisting of Hazardous Material Minimization (HAZMIN) Center managers and their staff. The FLC Afloat services provide HMC&M program oversight to units and visiting vessels in the Area of Responsibility (AOR).
