Position Description

This position is located at the Fleet Logistics Center, San Diego and Over-the-Horizon (OTH) sites
supporting Navy Region Southwest, including but not limited to Naval Base (NB) Coronado, NB
San Diego, Naval Air Facility El Centro, Naval Air Station (NAS) Fallon, Naval Air Weapons
Station China Lake, Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach, NAS Lemoore, Naval Support Activity
Monterey, or NB Ventura County. Incumbent performs packing and preservation of various loose
and packaged equipment, parts, tools, printed materials, packing and certification of hazardous
material (with the exception of Class 1) and other items in prefabricated containers (wood,
cardboard, fiberboard, metal, etc.), mailing tubes, cushioned envelopes and other packing materials
and devices to protect items from being crushed, soiled or otherwise damaged during shipment and
storage. Work includes labeling and stenciling containers.
