TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Position Description

You will serve as a TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Supply Management Department of NAVSUP FLT LOGISTICS CNTR SIGONELLA. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will ensure transportation services comply with DOD, DON and other applicable service component policies in the selection and award of transportation services in movement of DOD shipments.
• You will provide program management assistance and oversight of local delivery service support to ensure that program objectives are monitored and measured to achieve annual savings.
• You will assist in the establishment, sustainment and execution of transportation support for Southwest Asia, European and African theaters.
• You will monitor material handling equipment asset status and requirements through the use of equipment management and control system.
