LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Position Description

You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Operations and Compliance Division, Logistics Readiness Department of NAVSUP FLC PEARL HARBOR. A Cost-of-Living-Allowance (COLA) of 9.75% will be added to the stated salary. COLA is subject to change at any time.

Position Duties/Responsibilities

• You will manage the program to provide the unit commander an assessment of the unit's ability to perform key logistics processes by ensuring standardized, repeatable, technically compliant process execution.
• You will schedule compliance inspections of logistics readiness divisions.
• You'll determine the effectiveness of transportation management programs via compliance inspection - identify deficiencies, analyze them, track them in a database, determine causes, recommend corrective actions, and follow up to ensure success.
• You will assess and revise policies and procedures as needed to find ways to improve quality, timeliness, and efficiency of transportation programs that could impact the organization, installation, command, or agency.
• You will provide program analysis capability for the commander and management officials to measure the current status of the logistics readiness programs against planned objectives.
• You will conduct extensive searches for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual transactions and patterns, assembles retrieved information into different formats to meet different requirements.
• You will conduct analytical studies of diverse logistics processes as determined by surveys of performance or as directed by management.
• You will review functional responses to assess weaknesses or noncompliance and identify candidates for analytical studies based on criticality to mission.
