CONTRACT SPECIALIST

You will serve as a CONTRACT SPECIALIST in the NAVY SUPPLY SYSTEMS COMMAND (NAVSUP) of NAVSUP FLC SIG GF, Italy.

You will serve as a non -supervisory senior contract specialist who may also serve as a warranted contracting officer.
You will serve as the contractual authority on the acceptability and applicability of contractual matters related predominantly to the Fleet Support or Shore Support branch procurements.
You will review and analyze procurement requests and their specifications or statements of work to determine their adequacy, completeness, and commerciality.
You will review contract terms and technical specifications to identify any special requirements.
You will analyze settlement proposals, audit reports, technical evaluations, and subcontractor claims.
You will identify factors affecting contractor's cost using historical production and statistical cost data, reports from auditors or technical specialists, and contractor costs breakdowns regarding labor, materials, overhead, and profit.
You will develop documentation and criteria to substantiate Government cost or negotiation positions.
You will may be required to process grants actions in accordance with applicable regulations.
